Snuggle Up!

Children enjoy being read to, and it can be an enjoyable experience for their readers as well. Besides that, studies have shown that children who are read to regularly are more likely to develop early literacy skills. The Edgewater Branch has its own special place to snuggle up!

If you're looking for an enjoyable local spot to take your child, grandchild, nieces, and nephews, check out the Early Learners' Literacy Nest at the Edgewater Branch Library, 6000 N. Broadway.

You and your little one (5 years old or younger) can curl up with a good book as Grandpa John is doing with his toddler granddaughter. Also, explore the large array of toys, the doll house, kitchen set, puppets, building blocks, and puzzles. This enchanted space was generously funded by Friends of the Edgewater Library.
